Tracing the past. Shaping the present. Honoring every story.

Claudia Lopez is a researcher, associate producer, and archival producer specializing in historical and long-form documentaries. With a deep passion for visual research, storytelling, and editorial collaboration, her work has contributed to projects honored with Peabody, duPont-Columbia, and Documentary Emmy awards.

Over the past decade, she has collaborated on productions for Amazon Prime, CNN, FRONTLINE, A+E Networks, MSNBC, EPIX, and VICE—diving into archives, conducting in-depth research, sourcing rare material, supporting field shoots, and helping craft stories that resonate with depth and integrity. In addition to archival research, she has contributed to production logistics, including coordinating locations, assisting with interviews and b-roll shoots, and shaping narratives through story outlines, interview scripting, and segment building. Her expertise also extends into commercial advertising, museum exhibitions, and educational initiatives, where she brings the same attention to detail and narrative care to every frame.

Claudia provides full-spectrum research and production support across all stages of development—from story inception to final delivery. Her services include general and visual research, archival budgeting, fact checking, editorial vetting, fair use analysis, rights clearances, contract negotiation, and coordination of third-party material workflows. She helps teams navigate both the creative and legal dimensions of using archival and licensed content, bringing flexibility, precision, and clarity to every step.

Whether building the research framework for a multi-part series, supporting an interview shoot, or managing key deliverables for a fast-turn project, Claudia approaches every production with persistence, curiosity, and deep respect for the story being told.

She lives in Brooklyn with her partner and their two small dogs, Ellie and Sushi Sioux.
